About

Compiled Networks is a technology startup company founded by Jasson Casey and Bob Locklear in Austin, Tx. The company was founded after studying two distinct markets, Cloud Computing and Wireless Broadband, and noticing that a common technology problem was inhibiting the growth of both markets. The common missing technology element was network virtualization.

Cloud Computing

Existing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings provide server and storage resources, but offer no control over the network. Physical Data Centers serve both explicit and implicit network requirements according to application use and policy. Without providing virtualization and control of the network, IaaS vendors will have a difficult time as a Data Center alternative.

Wireless Broadband

Existing mobile broadband infrastructures are suffering from massive data congestion. Subscriber growth and application usage have outpaced all expectations and is showing no signs of relenting in the near future.

IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi), provides a low cost, low power, high bandwidth, offload alternative to existing GSM, UMTS, and LTE. By allowing subscribers to authenticate and access existing Wi-Fi network, maintain connectivity during mobility, and roam, carriers can use Wi-Fi as a cellular offload strategy. Mobility, roaming, and centralized authentication can be enabled across Wi-Fi networks using network virtualization.

Products

Compiled Networks develops a Cloud Services Gateway (CSG) and a Wireless Services Gateway (WSG) that are focused on providing virtualization and control of the network for both IaaS vendors and wireless broadband providers.
